Craftsmen
Construction Company has been remodeling fine homes in
the Charlotte area since 1951. We have been a member of the
Charlotte Chapter of the National Association of Home Builders
since 1970 and helped to charter the local chapter of its
Remodelors Council in 1987. We are also members of the local
NARI chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling
Industry.
Craftsmen was started by our CEO, Boyce M.
Brown, Jr. in 1951. David W. Brown joined his father in
1978 after graduating from North Carolina State
University. David worked in all phases of the family
construction business prior to moving into management.
Boyce taught David the business side of running a high end
remodeling company. Then David brought computers into the
business in 1986 to stay ahead of the technology curve.
Since then the remodeling business has changed dramatically and
so has Craftsmen. David became President many years ago
and now runs the day to day operations. The Craftsmen Team has
earned a great reputation for building the highest quality
renovations while providing unmatched service at very
competitive pricing

License Information:
Craftsmen operates with an "Intermediate
Building" license
classification from the North Carolina Board of General
Contractors – This level of licensure allows us to
contract any project up to $1,000,000 in the state of North
Carolina.
- David Brown has successfully
completed the new "Lead Renovation, Repair And
Painting Training Course" is now certified by the EPA
to work on housing built prior to 1978 that might contain
lead paint. This new requirement takes effect
January 1, 2010 in North Carolina and April 22, 2010 in
the rest of the country.
